Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Is an Evidence-Based Curriculum

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, or MBSR for short, will give you experience in using many different tools of mindfulness that can be available to you in any situation.

No matter what you’re facing, MBSR classes can be a good fit for you. If you have taken a hiatus from your own meditation practice, or always wished you could make it stick, MBSR is the support that can make the difference.

MBSR can also be a powerful adjunct to therapy or medical treatment, and has proven beneficial for chronic pain, various health conditions, or just simply “living the full catastrophe” of a modern stressful life!

This class was developed 40 years ago by Jon Kabat-Zinn, and has been researched extensively.

How long is the class and what do I need to do?

The MBSR class is eight weeks, with a two-and-a-half hour class every week. There is also a day-long retreat later in the course where we put our new skills into practice together.

The free orientation is a prerequisite for joining the class, and is a great opportunity to find out everything you need to know about what the full course is like.
