Co-leaders: Laura Jomon Martin and Patrick Bansho Green
This six-day online retreat is hosted by Zen Community of Oregon. From the ZCO website:
Zen retreats are called “sesshin” which means to “collect” or “gather-in” the heart-mind.” This gathering is not about making the heart or mind a certain way, but settling into the ever-flowing moment. In this retreat we will practice meditations of loving-kindness (metta), compassion, and relaxing in rest (sitting meditation – zazen) and motion (yoga/qui-gong).
It is our intention to offer the supportive structure to allow you to do a week long meditation retreat at home. You can participate to whatever degree your life allows. Consider the possibility to design your own retreat. Do a work/family sesshin. Take one day this week and make it a retreat day!
Doing a retreat at home can be empowering, take up the practice in your own home and know the peace and clarity of mind in your own dwelling place!
The retreat runs from Monday evening to Sunday afternoon, June 14-20, 2021. Registration is on a sliding scale, $75-300. Visit the ZCO website for more information, a sample schedule, and to register.
This retreat will take place through the zoom app. You will receive a link to the retreat once you register.
